Christoph Schön

Dr. Christoph Schön founded the IP Firm Dr. Schön, Neymeyr and Partner in 2011 together with Ulrich Neymeyr.

Dr. Schön laid the foundations of his comprehensive expertise in the fields of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, and physical chemistry during his studies in chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Parallel to his dissertation, he completed postgraduate studies in business administration at the Technische Universität München where he acquired extensive expertise in the fields of business management and economics. His practical experience is based on intense research on organoboron compounds and other related fields including the synthesis of new polyboranes and the X-ray structure analysis of these compounds. As a patent attorney with years of practical experience, he has attended to applications and patent litigations in many fields of chemistry including inorganic and organic basic research, pharmacy, steel production, biotechnology and polymer chemistry. He has passed his comprehensive expertise in the field of intellectual property in Germany, Europe, and other jurisdictions on to listeners from many countries in numerous seminars.

Ulrich Neymeyr is the founding partner of the IP Firm Dr. Schön, Neymeyr and Partner.

Ulrich Neymeyr studied mechanical engineering specialising in construction at the technical university RWTH Aachen. He placed a focus on plastic materials and plastics processing. Moreover, Mr Neymeyr had the opportunity to become thoroughly acquainted with the details of development work and the associated requirements in years of industrial experience as a design engineer and project engineer with an automotive supplier and in medical technology and therefore speaks the “language” of the developer and design engineer. Furthermore, he gained experience in the international sphere in one year of professional activities in the development department of a Japanese company in Kyoto. As a patent attorney with years of practical experience, he has attended to applications and patent litigations in many sectors of mechanics, electronics including medical and telecommunications technology applications. In addition, he has in-depth experience in trademark issues and in the domains of employees’ inventions and licence agreements. Mr Neymeyr is Authorised Representative at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court, the European Patent Office (EPO), the Harmonisation Office for the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva and – in patent nullity proceedings – the Federal Court of Justice.

Rudolph Schön

European Patent Attorney

Dr. Rudolph Schön acquired his comprehensive expertise in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, biochemistry and microbiology during his studies in human medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. His dissertation at the Universitätsklinikum Großhadern in Munich deals with therapy optimisation in the field of neurooncology with reference to radio-oncologic, nuclear medical as well as pharmacotherapeutic aspects of treatment. During his clinical work in the medical sector in Germany and Switzerland he broadened his skills in the field of the oncologic therapy of solid and haematologic malignant diseases, particularly in the fields of immunochemotherapy as well as antibody therapy. Presently, Dr. Rudolph Schön is qualifying as a lawyer within the scope of extra-occupational full degree law studies to supplement his medical and scientific expertise with jurisprudential skills. Dr. Rudolph Schön acquired his qualification as a European patent attorney.

Dr. Rudolph Schön erlangte seine umfangreichen Kenntnisse auf den Gebieten der Medizin, Pharmazie, Pharmakologie, Pharmakotherapie, Biochemie und Mikrobiologie während seines Studiums der Humanmedizin an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München. Seine Doktorarbeit am Universitätsklinikum Großhadern in München befasst sich mit der Therapieoptimierung auf dem Bereich der Neuroonkologie unter Bezugnahme auf radio-onkologische, nuklearmedizinische sowie pharmakotherapeutische Aspekte der Behandlung. Während seiner klinischen Tätigkeit im medizinischen Bereich in Deutschland und der Schweiz erweiterte er seine Kenntnisse im Bereich der onkologischen Therapie solider und hämatologischer maligner Erkrankungen insbesondere auf den Gebieten der Immunchemotherapie sowie Antikörpertherapie.
Derzeit macht Dr. Rudolph Schön eine Ausbildung zum Rechtanwalt im Rahmen eines berufsbegleitenden juristischen Vollstudiums, um sein medizinisches und naturwissenschaftliches Wissen um rechtswissenschaftliche Gebiete zu ergänzen.

After his studies of physics, Mr Grimm worked in nuclear technology and was responsible for fuel element deployment planning for nuclear power plants. Subsequently, he was engaged in aviation electronics for an extended period of time. Degree studies completed as “Master of IP Law and Management (MIPLM)” paved his way as a scientific advisor in industrial property protection. He has contributed his technical expertise in combination with his excellent command of English as a technical expert and translator to the IP Firm Dr. Schön, Neymeyr & Partner since 2013.

Dr. Sohee Baek acquired her comprehensive expertise in the fields of biology, biochemistry, biophysical chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, food technology, microbiology, molecular biology, and structural biology during her studies at Konkuk University, at Seoul National University, at the Technische Universität in Munich, the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Munich, and with Proteros Biostructures GmbH. She completed her dissertation at the Technische Universität in Munich and with the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry cooperating with cancer researchers at the Technische Universität München in her studies. She examined the structure and function of proteins – from individual molecules to complex organisms - at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry. Subsequently, she gained a lot of crucial experience in industrial practice as a scientific staff member with a well-known Biotechnology company in Munich. Presently, she acquires her qualification as a European patent attorney.

Satomi Kudo

Ms Satomi Kudo has been working in our IP Firm as a scientific contributor and translator since 2011. Following her studies in literature in Japan, Ms Kudo was employed in a medical technology company in Japan and could acquire comprehensive practical experience in the sector of medical and pharmaceutical industry there. Moreover, Ms Kudo acquired excellent skills in the Chinese language during her studies at the Beijing Language Culture University. Subsequently, she taught Japanese for business dealings with Epson Technology Service Co in China and had the opportunity to broaden her expertise in Japanese and Chinese business culture there. In addition, Ms Kudo is fluid in German since her supplemental studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Owing to her long-standing activities in our IP Firm, Ms Kudo has also acquired comprehensive knowledge in almost all areas of Japanese and European intellectual property law.

Ms Moon has been working with us in the IP Firm as a scientific contributor and contact for international clients from the beginnings in 2016. Following her studies of law at Konkuk University in South Korea, Ms Moon completed the master programme in European and international economic law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. She had the opportunity to broaden her language and cultural skills during exchange semesters in Australia, Japan, as well as France.
